To conclude the celebration of 20 years of The Remarkable Podcast, I’m pleased to announce the climactic brand-new DJ mix, Remark Threshold. Long, intense and cerebral, this journey through progressive house represents the definitive sound of Remark in 2026.

The title Threshold is inspired by spoken words in Madonna’s “One Step Away,” from her award-winning album Confessions on a Dancefloor II, released this summer. She says, "People think that dance music is superficial, but they've got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place — it's a threshold — a ritualistic space where movement replaces language.” That idea couldn’t be more aligned with how I’ve always felt about dance music.

And in 2026, Threshold has taken on another meaning. It often feels as though humanity is collectively moving toward the threshold of something ominous — political unrest, war, AI, climate change and an increasingly uncertain future. As always, when I feel anxiety, sadness and worry about the world around me, my primary coping mechanism — and my escape — is music.

Music gives us somewhere to go. Somewhere to lose ourselves, reconnect and, even if only temporarily, transcend the noise of the world around us.

So put this mix on, turn it up, and dance on the threshold with me.
